CCS Finals

Congratulations to all the varsity runners for a fine performance at CCS!
  • Lauren won CCS! Again!
3rd time is a charm. In a gutsy race, she ran the first mile hard to stay with the front runners, waited patiently in the 2nd mile as the Cupertino runner created a gap, but then methodically reeled her back in the final 300 meters for the win. Great race!

  • Ben took 3rd at CCS having a bit of a tough race after some early week throat issues, but was able to out-kick a scary pack of runners for bronze and a trip to Fresno.

  • Lauren and Ben will go to Fresno to race at CIF States in two weeks.

  • The girls took 5th running strong despite Anya's cold and Annli's knee injury setting her training back.

  • The boys took 9th which is amazing considering Rodrigo and Owen both had to step out due to last minute cold/flu issues. Kudos to Nikolas Gibson (who happened to be there watching his sister Katia) for stepping in as our 7th literally 20 minutes before the race.
